Grace Salinas - Community Representative

Grace Salinas is the oldest of seven kids. Both her parents were born and raised in the Central City South area. Her mother on 9th. Avenue and Cocopah and her father on 3rd. Avenue and Mohave. Grace owned a home on 9th Avenue and Cocopah from 1985 to 1999, when she turned it over to her eldest son Mario, who still lives there. This home was built by her maternal mother, and because Grace lived in this home most of her life she says it has given her strong ties to this community.
Grace married Job Salinas Hernandez, and had 5 children, (4 sons and 1 daughter), and currently has 15 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Grace has always been involved with school activities and PTA in the school her children attended as they grew up.
Grace attended Phoenix Union High School and received her AAS in Management and in Marketing form Phoenix College in 1989 with honors, and belonged to the Mu Signa Chapter of Phi Theata Kappa.
Grace worked for Arroyo Construction off and on from 1972 where she started as a receptionist, and eventually became the qualifying party and primary CEO in 1994.
