George Logan III - Board Member from 1992-2006

Judge Logan has served the Phoenix Municipal Court, Phoenix, AZ since his appointment in June 1999. Primary responsibilities included deciding motions, and conducting jury and non-jury trials involving misdemeanor criminal offenses for DUIs, assaults, thefts, prostitution and drivers’ license violations. Served as a member of the court’s Judicial Policies and Procedures Committee. Judge Logan now moves on to serve as presiding judge for the City of Suprise as of November 3, 2006.

Past positions include, Project Manager, Arizona Supreme Court (AOC); Assistant Director, Dept of Economic Security; Chief Administrative Law Judge, Dept of Economic Security; Attorney and shareholder, Logan, Marton, Halladay and Hall, PA; Staff Judge Advocate, USAF; and Staff Attorney, Center for Constitutional Rights.

Education and training include Rutgers College; Rutgers Law School; National Judicial College; Arizona State University, School of Public Affairs; Institute for Court Management; and Justice Management Institute.

Licensed to practice law in the states of Arizona and New Jersey (inactive). Memberships in professional organizations include American Judges Assoc, Arizona Magistrates Assoc, Maricopa County Bar Assoc, National Bar Assoc, and H.B. Daniels Bar Assoc.
